About Us

Flitch & Chips are pioneers for mobile food businesses in the Flitch Green and Dunmow area, inspiring others. At the end of October 2017, a fish and chips takeaway opened up and started serving freshly cooked, hot and delicious fish and chips to the people of the local area. This man was Daniel, and the van was Flitch & Chips. For Daniel, it all started in Cape Town, South Africa. His dad successfully ran fish and chip shops, and as a teenager, Daniel learnt the family tradition of serving quality, traditional fish and chips. 

 

A fish and chips takeaway van has been long-awaited by the people of Flitch Green- their wish has been granted with the opening of Flitch & Chips. Since opening, Flitch & Chips has been very popular, with hundreds of customers buying fish and chips from them per week. In the middle of 2018, Daniel’s brother Orlando joined the Flitch & Chips family; and at the end of 2018, we managed to acquire a site at Tesco in Great Dunmow as well.

 

Our fish and chips have reached county-famous across Essex after we were on the Essex Live Top Fish and Chip Takeaway list for 2018!

 

Flitch & Chips also kickstarted the local Blue Lights Q-Jump Scheme, where all emergency workers can jump to the front of the queue for food and drinks to avoid delays during their vital work. This initiative has been taken on by other local businesses, whom all display the sticker and allow the same Q-Jump.
